HEROES ON THE WALL

heroes 2012v1Heroes Coffee in Branson, at 1835 W. Highway 76, is a veteran-owned and operated coffee shop serving delicious blends of locally roasted coffee beans and a scrumptious assortment of pastries and desserts to satisfy any craving. It provides a relaxing meeting place, a comfortable setting with the aroma of fresh coffee, surrounded by tributes, commemorations and remembrances of patriotism and heroism. Mementos are displayed on the walls.

Upon entering you feel an immediate sense of comfort and security with a surge of patriotic pride, followed by deep reflection and an over-powering sense of gratitude to heroes on the wall. Owner Rick Zinser served our country thru deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq including Camp Fallujah, Iraq in 2006. ”I spent 5 years Active Duty Army, one year Army National Guard. Seventeen year break in service. Became a Navy Seabee in 2004. Served 2 tours in Iraq 2006 to 2007 in Fallujah during the surge. Haditha Dam Iraq 2007 to 2008. One tour Afghanistan, Jalalabad 2010 to 2011,” says Rick. So, he well remembers the hardships and sometimes ultimate sacrifices of his fellow brothers in arms and the times without family during Christmases when he could not come home. Christmas 2006 when his only comfort was the company of his fellow soldiers and a Christmas greeting video message he recorded for his family.

The outdoors patio is just as inviting and you can sit and enjoy the warm sun or cool breeze, depending on current weather conditions, and feel the activity and bustle of a thriving entertainment capital with a drink to match the season…..from a cup of hot Heroes Coffee or latte to an icy cold drink for summer. When you finish your coffee, order the supplies needed to brew your own at home!

Heroes Coffee motto is “Wake Up. Do Good. Repeat”. And they do. They give back to the community and support local charities and veterans groups. Drop in, enjoy a hot cup of coffee and reflect with gratitude and appreciation the sacrifices of those heroes on the wall that voluntarily risk their lives to defend our freedoms. Coffee’s ready!
